Quick Comic Book Effect

How to quickly put a comic book effect on any image or photograph.

Step 1
Open up a photograph or an image. For this effect, it creates the best effect when you work with photographs of people. We will be using the picture below for this tutorial.

Step 2
Duplicate the original layer.

Step 3
Go to Image>Adjustments>Threshold. Play around with the settings until you get a fairly even level of black and white around the image. For this photo I used a threshold level of 104.



The image created will look something like this.

Step 4
On your duplicated layer change the opacity to 40%. This level will vary depending on the image. Now you have your comic book effect! Easy eh?

Final Product
